水井每半年需要从每个城市的health unit获取一个塑料小瓶取样，免费检测 Total Coliform, 0 e-coli. 两个项目。

如果Total Coliform 超过10ppm:

The water in your home must be boiled for 1 minute prior to consumption, or use an alternate water source.  The water is considered to be non-potable, non-drinkable and must not be consumed.

Consumption includes washing fruits and vegetables, doing dishes and brushing teeth.  The water is safe for bathing on showering for adults, but not safe for infants.

The formula for mixing up a sanitizing solution is: 2ml of bleach with 1 Liter of water and a 45 second contact time for doing dishes after they have been washed with soap and hot water then thoroughly rinsed first, then sanitized with the sanitizing solution.

April 13, 2018. Well disinfection. well inside Diameter:36 inchs / 91.44cm. depth: 62 feet. ground to water level : 8 feet. 62-8=54 feet / 16.4592m. well volume: 10.8 cube meter (10,800 liter). well regulation 50-200 mg/L / ppm of chlorine.
1)10.3% chlorine for swimming poold ....needed 5.52 L for 50 ppm desired conc. level.
2) household bleach: 5.25%. 3.57 L /bottle. needed 10.83L.

1. Connect a pipe from backyard to well and allow water flow back to well, make water cuiculation for around 20 min until smell the chlorine from whe pipe flowing back to well. By-pass water softner after few minutes flow through the water softner.
2. turn off water flowing back to well.
3.open each tap and allow water to flow 1-2 min or untill smell chlorine. cold tape only no hot water tape. close the tape switch and let water containing chlorine sitting overnight above 12 hours.
4. pump out all the water from well.
